Feasibility

The starting point for the feasibility project is the customer’s business plan or basic description of the vessel or the service. The purpose of the feasibility study is to develop the first design(s) of the vessel in order to be able to check the required investment and feasibility of the intended service. Basic statistics of built vessels are applied. Comparisons to existing designs are essential to receive a good result.

Deltamarin has carried out hundreds of feasibility studies for different types of vessels, mostly passenger vessels. We are also one of the few, if not the only company in the market who utilizes a 3D parametric presentation of the arrangement already at this stage, allowing easy and quick alterations and later development of the vessel concept. This stage ends in Project Feasibility, which will enable the customer to decide whether to go ahead with the concept.
