One of the corner stones for ship safety is the technical compliance of SOLAS and Class rules. This compliance is coordinated by a combination of technical documentation control and approvals during the ship operation. Maintaining and updating this documentation over the operational years of the vessel can be challenging, and in order to support owners in this task, Deltamarin has created DeltaFleet DocService solution which has its background in technical document handling for Newbuilding projects.

DeltaFleet DocService consists of two parts. The first part is a web-based technical document management environment for our customer’s vessels, and the second part is an update service for those technical documents. Our customer’s documents are stored and made accessible through the web-based DeltaFleet DocService application. It offers a document library with clear hierarchies. Users can access the documents based on their predetermined roles anywhere where they have access to internet. The ship technical document update service covers the necessary engineering work, which is needed for document updating, including also related design work.

The main benefits of DeltaFleet DocService for the owners are that because of the centralized storage that Deltamarin provides, the technical documentation is accessible from anywhere, as long as there is access to internet. Deltamarin also offers a one-stop shop for any technical documentation updates that the customer may require. Finally through DeltaFleet DocService there is a low cost solution available for the document management for the vessels’ entire operational life including planning and executing refurbishments or conversions to the fleet.
