Description of the conversion:

  • All main dimensions, length, breadth and depth increased.
  • New drilling equipment: drill floor, derrick, pipe handling and racking systems, etc.
  • Several other updatings in outfitting, accommodation, machinery and electric systems.

Commission:

  • On-site: Design coordination, Construction follow-up, Dynamic positioning calculations (thruster configuration studies, model tests & calculations, procurement of additional thrusters), Miscellaneous theoretical calculations (weight calc., seakeeping calc., outdocking studies, shadow diagrams for hydrophones), Steel design and strength calculations acc. to DNV rules and FEM (moonpool corners, pillars in the engine room), Interface drawings (deck equipment, drilling equipment, emergency generator room), Drill piping systems (part of basic design, detail design).
  • At Deltamarin: Weight calculations, Stability calculations, Inclining test, ERN calculations.
