DESCRIPTION
The drillship Neptune Explorer was built in 1973 and converted in 2007 for operations in up to 5,000 ft water depths. In this reactivation among others the derrick and pipe handling units were upgraded.
To provide sufficient buoyancy and stability for the upgraded capacity of the vessel the existing sponsons are replaced by new wider ones.

Deltamarin’s scope of workshop engineering:

  • Project Interface Manager
  • Structural workshop information for new sponsons and substructure for derrick as well as upgrading of existing structure in moonpool area
  • Total Deltamarin engineering 6,900 hours
