Deltamarin Ltd, the Finnish naval architecture and engineering company, has established a subsidiary to enlarge the scope of the group’s services. In order to serve the customers better, the new company Deltamarin Floating Construction Ltd will focus on delivering engineering, procurement, construction and installation solutions for the marine and offshore industry on turnkey basis.
Deltamarin Floating Construction combines the broad know-how and deep expertise of Deltamarin in development and engineering of specialized ships and offshore structures together with the contract management and project financing offered by AVIC Group which Deltamarin is part of. The company incorporates innovative concepts with engineering, procurement, construction, management and project financing to enable demanding and comprehensive turnkey solutions for the clients, with comfort and reliability.
‘As an independent main contractor we are not bound to offer solutions based on what we are manufacturing, or where we are located. All projects are based on the customer’s needs, best technology, partners and practises, optimal project execution strategy and cost efficient construction anywhere in the world’, says Mr. Rami Hirsimäki, the recently appointed Managing Director of Deltamarin Floating Construction Ltd. Mr. Hirsimäki has been working at Deltamarin since 2001 in various management positions, e.g. he has been responsible for Deltamarin business development in Asia and most recently has acted as Director for the company’s Offshore Oil & Gas business.
‘We are creating a globally unique EPC main contractor business model within the maritime industry, which means that we need to recruit new experts and talents to strengthen our organization fit for international turnkey projects’, Mr. Hirsimäki outlines the future.
