The first deadline considering ballast water management is approaching as all ships in international trade are required to carry on board an approved BWM plan and certificate of compliance by September 8, 2017. Significant project schedule- and cost-related risks in FPSO life extensions and re-deployments are widely recognised. Deltamarin offers advanced design methods and tools to reduce these risks considerably at the design phase.
Deltamarin has provided design services for Teekay Offshore’s Petrojarl Foinaven FPSO project, where two davit-type lifeboats located alongside the accommodation block of the vessel were replaced by four free-fall lifeboats. The purpose of the project was to increase the number of personnel on board and to meet the new regulatory requirements.
