Deltamarin has signed a contract with Norwegian Yacht Voyages AS for conceptual design and consultancy services for the energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly M/Y Caroline expedition mega yacht project. Deltamarin will provide conceptual design together with selected architect partners, covering the development of the technical design and documentation.

Deltamarin has a long history in energy-efficient ship designs where hull form development has always been one of the spearheads. Nowadays, hull form and performance optimisation with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a standard procedure in Deltamarin’s ship projects.
It is with great pleasure that we at Deltamarin are following and supporting our client Viking Line in their efforts to operate in a more environmental-friendly way. Their latest effort has been to implement the use of wind energy as an additional source of thrust on board their vessels.
Deltamarin will take a step towards strengthening its offering in tanker (oil, chemicals and LNG) design development. We will develop new-generation products with high emphasis on safety, optimal performance and low carbon footprint. To support achieving these goals, Deltamarin has recruited Mr Mauri Harki to lead the new customer process for the tanker segment.
Safety design is not only about fulfilling the rules but also caring about human lives and the environment. Deltamarin’s experience of several Safe Return to Port ships and the continuous development of our design tools give us a head start in designing functional and cost-efficient systems.
Deltamarin Ltd has signed a contract with Chinese Guangzhou Shipyard International Co, Ltd (GSI) for consultancy and engineering services for the DFDS ro-pax ferries. This order supports Deltamarin’s strategy to further strengthen our position in the passenger vessel segment.
Deltamarin together with Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT) has studied the use of membrane-type tanks on cargo and passenger vessels. A unique portfolio of cargo and passenger vessels has been created to save valuable cargo space compared to classic cylindrical-type LNG tank solutions and to enable the use of LNG for long ocean voyages.
