Deltamarin and GTT have received Approval in Principle (AiP) from the classification society ClassNK for the 12,500 m3 LNG dual fuel VLCC design. The AiP was received from NK 1st March 2023.

Deltamarin participates into Socatra sail conversion project
The Medium Range chemical tanker will be retrofitted with two 35 x 5 m Norsepower rotor sails. Deltamarin will carry out a full class approval design package for the conversion, including naval architectural, structural, structural analysis, deck outfitting, machinery and electrical works.

Deltamarin wins a design contract for a new Estonian ferry
Deltamarin has signed a contract with the Estonian Transport Administration to develop a new concept for a ferry travelling between the big islands and the mainland. The concept is expected to be completed in early 2023 and will be the basis for preparing a public procurement and further designing and constructing the ferry.
Deltamarin to help install WindWings on a Berge Bulk vessel
Berge Bulk has selected Deltamarin to carry out the ship side basic design for installing WindWings onboard bulk carrier Berge Olympus. Deltamarin has earlier carried out ship side concept design of the retrofit, and the basic design work is direct continuation of the project and includes preparation of the design documents needed for class approval.
Deltamarin designs archipelago connecting vessel for Finferries
Deltamarin has been selected as the designer of a new Finnish archipelago connecting vessel which will start operating in summer season 2023. Finferries – Suomen Lauttaliikenne has recently signed a shipbuilding contract with Oy HL-metal Ab, that will build the vessel at their premises in Pargas, Finland.
Deltamarin to design climate-friendly train ferry for Fennorail
Deltamarin has signed a contract with Fennorail for the concept design of the EUROCARRIER train ferry capable of carrying both train and truck cargo. The aim is to develop the world’s greenest train ferry by optimising the design and selecting machinery system compatible with alternative fuels such as LNG and green hydrogen.
Viking Line and Mercy Ships honoured in Shippax Awards 2022
Viking Line’s new LNG-fueled ro-pax ferry Viking Glory has been chosen as the winner of the Shippax Ro-Pax Interior Design Award for 2022. A Shippax Special Award was given to Mercy Ships’ Global Mercy, the largest civilian hospital ship in the world.

Deltamarin and GTT have been awarded an Approval in Principle (AiP) from the Norwegian classification society DNV, for an innovative LNG-fueled Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) design. The AiP was presented at the classification society’s headquarter, during the Nor-Shipping maritime trade fair, held in Oslo this week.
