Ferries and ro-pax vessels

Most ferries are unique designs based on their route, freight and passenger capacity as well as onboard services. Based on the experience gained from hundreds of ferry concepts, we at Deltamarin know how to meet your targets cost-effectively and resulting in an optimised vessel design.

Deltamarin has been doing systematic R&D work for years aimed at understanding the correct solutions for typical ferry design challenges covering areas like fuel efficiency, safety and the “Safe Return to Port” (SRtP) rule. We apply new technologies in our designs once it has been proven to bring real added value for the ship owner and operator.

  • energy efficient and environmentally friendly ro-pax vessel DeltaChallenger,
  • compact ferry DeltaLinx, designed for short coastal routes, and
  • DeltaSAFER, SAFE and AFFORDABLE new-built ro-pax ferries for the Asian market.

For conversions Deltamarin offers you a wide range of services from feasibility studies for the Emission Control Areas (ECA) operations or fuel saving modifications to full EPCM package deliveries of scrubbers or ballast water treatment systems.

It was never by accident I got involved with the shipbuilding industry. As a child I came in contact with a completely new thing, boating in the beautiful Finnish archipelago. This opened up my eyes for a totally new world. Suddenly I was convinced that my future will have something to do with boats or other watercraft.

During my 10 years at Deltamarin I have had the opportunity to work with all kinds of challenging projects and different types of ships. In my current role I have the pleasure to pass on my knowledge and experience when helping colleagues to fulfil their dreams and find the best solutions for our customers.
