  • Concept design of the vessel together with Stena RoRo for yard tendering purposes.
  • Approval design including Safe Return to Port documentation and model test coordination.

Special Features:

  • The vessel’s hospital area of abt. 7,000 m2 contains six operating rooms, an intensive care unit, clinical laboratory, diagnostic radiology, hospital supply and pharmacy services.
  • The vessel is even equipped with a school and kindergarten for the staff’s children.
  • The vessel will be certified as a passenger ship for long international voyages and will be registered under the flag of Malta with Lloyd’s Register classification.
  • Delivery of the hospital ship is estimated in 2021.
  • Mercy Ships is a charity organisation which brings medical care to the underprivileged in the developing nations with the help of volunteer staff.
